Anthony Nannetti- A Poem

My Mother's Rosary

I dreamed that you were still young

and seeking Mary's intercession,

with unclouded eyes lowered

on fleet fingers that moved as if shelling beans.

And how eager I was to follow your lead,

to echo the decades so dutifully

as answer to our prayers.

Anthony Nannetti's poetry has appeared in several print and online publications.  He lives in South Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters.
