Andrew Bowen- Two Poems

 ***

The sun sinks in a
peach-skin sky.  The redbud’s  pink
turns purple in the
budding maples’ shade.  Praise Him
Whose colors transcend all art.

 ***

As easily as
the full moon drowns starlight in
southern summer skies,
God’s splendor obliterates
the glory of the angels.
