Don Jensen- A Poem

God's Amazing Grace 

God's amazing grace has set me free
For my sins He hung upon that tree
In the Garden of Gethsemane
To the hill called Calvary
All He did was to set me free

A debt I could not pay
"My child is free" He would say
On the Cross He was hung
A hero whose praise is to be sung

Jesus took his last breath
"It is finished", then His death
In a tomb He was laid
His limp body not to be displayed

Three days later He arose
Conquering death and His foes
He rose with the Father to sit
Fallen and risen, part of the Father's skit

He paid a debt He did not owe
Sinners to be freed from their woe
Freely we now can live
Because His life He chose to give
